Nyamekye Daniel’s professional background includes writing, editing, radio hosting and management.
In 2016 to 2017, Daniel served as the managing editor of South Florida News Service, in this role she managed a staff of up to six other student reporters, edited, reported and created digital content.
Daniel has an associate’s degree in mass communication and journalism from Miami Dade College and received her bachelor’s degree in journalism from Florida International University as a World’s Ahead graduate. She is currently a reporter and editor at the Miami Times an on-air personality and social media manager for WZPP 96.1FM. She has also freelanced for multiple outlets including the New York Times and the Miami Herald.
Daniel’s love for storytelling drove her to pursue journalism. In high school, she was the newspaper editor, and she wrote a poetry book, “My Quest for Happiness,” at 16 years old. Her favorite topics to write about are lifestyle, social issues and culture. Her area of concentration is also social psychology. The journalist continues to focus on making a positive impact on society with her writing.
